The Inner Development Goals (IDG) Framework
We are unable to effectively tackle the world’s adaptive problems like modern slavery and sustainable development in large part because we lack the individual and collective inner capabilities and skills to do so.

An ego with a right-wing ideology is just as vacuous as an ego with a left-wing ideology. A capitalist ego is just as blind as a communist ego. Instead we need tools and a pathway that can lead us to a place where we don't have to prove or defend anything. People living from this place are dangerously free precisely because they are tethered at their centre.

We know that the inner and outer domains of human experience are equally important and interdependent. The external world shapes our inner lives and vice-versa. However in the dominant culture more value is currently placed on outer rather than inner resources.
The Inner Development Goals is a global movement that advocates for inner development. The widespread integration of inner transformation into society is unlocking the tools and energy necessary to build a more flourishing future for people and planet.

Inner qualities, capacities and skills such as courage, compassion and humility can be intentionally developed and effective evidence-based methods for doing so already exist. Such inner development helps individuals, organisations and societies become more willing and better able to respond to adaptive challenges.
The Inner Development Goals Framework is an essential roadmap that can assist in navigating and developing our inner lives. Rooted in interdisciplinary science based research the framework consists of 5 dimensions and 23 skills of human inner growth and development.
